Eric Figueredo began his dance training at age ten in Brazil at the Escola de Dança Fundação Porto Real. He had the opportunity to participate in many competitions, including Preselection of Prix de Lausanne, where he was the winner. Eric has attended Houston Ballet Summer Intensive where he got a scholarship to train under the direction of Vicki Attard with Houston Ballet Academy. He has enjoyed many opportunities to perform and cover various roles in each production with the Houston Ballet company under the direction of Stanton Welch. This is Eric’s second season with Texas Ballet Theater.

Giselle is one of my favorite ballets to see
What is your favorite ballet to perform/what is your favorite role you have performed?
My favorite ballets to perform are Raymonda and The Nutcracker.
What surprised you the most about being a professional dancer?
The learning ability

What outdoor activities do you enjoy?
Hanging out with friends.
What kind of music do you like best?
I like to listen to everything, I’m very eclectic
