While growing up in Jacksonville, Florida, David Schrenk began his training at The Florida Ballet Training Center. At ten years old, he started ballet in order to aid his gymnastics training but eventually transitioned entirely to dancing. At the age of seventeen, he joined Houston Ballet’s second company. In 2015, after one year of training at Houston Ballet, David moved north to join Texas Ballet Theater.

I was surprised we got free ballet shoes.

What’s your favorite food from the state fair in Texas?
I’ve never been to the state fair, but I’m sure it would be funnel cakes or anything with chicken.

Fried chicken
