Texas Ballet Theater promises amazing performances starting off with the greatest love story of all time, Romeo and Juliet, along with others such as Serenade and Gloria, Swan Lake, and the popular Nutcracker.

Romeo and Juliet
October 18 – 20, 2013 – Bass Performance Hall

Witness the unfolding of this dramatic Shakespearean tale as you experience forbidden love, feuding families, and the picturesque setting of 16th century Verona. Despite its tragic end, you will be transfixed by riveting stolen moments, the innocence of sidelong glances and lingering embraces while hoping for a different fate.

The Nutcracker
November 29 thru December 8, 2013 – Winspear Opera House
December 13 thru December 27, 2013 – Bass Performance Hall

Don’t miss the return of the all new production of Ben Stevenson’s The Nutcracker! This dazzling production is the perfect way to celebrate the season as the classic holiday tale delights audiences anew with waltzing snowflakes, battling mischievous mice, adorable children, a glittering swan sleigh, a flying carpet and spectacular dancing.

The Nutty Nutcracker
Friday, December 20, 2013 – Bass Performance Hall

Add a little nutty spice to your holiday with The Nutty Nutcracker, the hilarious PG-13 spoof of the holiday classic. You never know which of your favorite current events and pop culture figures may appear on stage to entertain you!! Don’t miss this popular one night command performance. Only subscribers can purchase tickets to the popular The Nutty Nutcracker before the general public.

Serenade and Gloria
February 28 thru March 2, 2014 – Bass Performance Hall

Be swept away in a beautiful wave of grace and wonder by the first ballet Balanchine choreographed in America. As Tchaikovsky’s Serenade in C for String Orchestra unfolds, Balanchine masterfully highlights each performer’s amazing talent. Following Serenade, patrons will be treated to the North Texas premiere of Sir Kenneth MacMillian’s Gloria. Inspired by Vera Brittain’s lament for the dead of the Great War in her auto biographical novel, Testament of Youth, this legendary choreographer’s ballet visually mourns all the lives cut short or blighted by war.

Swan Lake
May 30 thru Jun 1, 2014 – Bass Performance Hall

Be mesmerized by the timeless story of good, evil, and the all-conquering power of love with Texas Ballet Theater’s production of Swan Lake. Experience the magic, mystery, and transformation through the most famous of all classical ballets as young Odette becomes a swan by the curse of an evil sorcerer.
