T exas Ballet Theater School, Dallas offers a complete training program for both the recreational dancer and those who aspire to be professional dancers. We offer classes in classical ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and lyrical, from beginning to advanced and pre-professional levels, for students age 3 to adult.
The Dallas School also offers training for the Royal Academy of Dance examinations and the American Academy of Ballet Performance Awards.
All classes are conducted in a safe and nurturing environment and include professional instruction from our skilled teaching staff.
Students enrolled in the school have the opportunity to showcase their talent on stage throughout the year by auditioning to be in Texas Ballet Theater's annual production of The Nutcracker at the Winspear Opera House, as well as, the following additional opportunities.
Texas Ballet Theater Ensemble : Provides an arena for students to perform quality work in a professional setting, incorporating ballet and contemporary choreography. The ensemble performs several times during the year in the metroplex and participates in Youth America Grand Prix both regionally and in the New York finals. In past years, the ensemble has placed in the top twelve in the Finals and was awarded many "Outstanding" recognitions.
Performance Awards - American Academy of Ballet : Offers a ready made program of choreography that sets attainable goals for achievement. Students have consistently won first place in the Nationals in New York and have won scholarships to the summer program.
Royal Academy Examinations : Students are chosen to participate in the Grade and Vocational annual examinations. The school has a 100% pass rate.
Performing and Competitive Ensembles (P.A.C.E.) : Provides students the opportunity to perform and compete in jazz and contemporary dance styles. There are four teams based on age and ability - minis, juniors, teens and seniors. These teams have won many awards throughout the year and at Nationals.
The Dallas School follows the traditional August to May school calendar, with additional classes and programs offered during the summer months.
