Cara Shipman

Cara Shipman came to Texas Ballet Theater through the 2013 Summer Intensive Program.  Originally from Madison, New Jersey, she began her training at the New Jersey School of Ballet.  She has also had the opportunity to train at Joffery Ballet School and as a member of the Studio Company at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet.  Her favorite roles include "Odalisques" in Marius Petipa's Le Corsaire, "Aurora" in The Sleeping Beauty, "Sugar Plum" The Nutcracker and La Vivandiere (Markitenk) by Arthur Saint-Leon.  When not dancing, Cara enjoys baking and photography.  She would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support.  This is Ms. Shipman's first season with Texas Ballet Theater.
