Students are evaluated individually and placed in appropriate levels based on a variety of criteria including age, knowledge and execution of ballet technique, physique, personal strength development and regular attendance.
An open audition for middle to upper school level placement is scheduled prior to the beginning of the school year for new students.
The Fort Worth Campus of Texas Ballet Theater School will hold two auditions for new students. Auditions will be held at 10:30 a.m. on August 4, 2007 and August 25, 2007 at the Fort Worth Campus studios.
The Fort Worth Campus offers a placement class for students who wish to enroll after the start of the school year. The placement class is offered for a fee of $35, which will be applied toward the registration fee upon official enrollment into the school. Fees must be paid and appropriate forms must be completed prior to taking class. The Dallas Campus does not currently offer a placement class.
