Linda Behr

Linda Behr began taking ballet classes at the age of three. She studied the Royal Academy method for fifteen years at the Reina Berman School of Dance in Johannesburg, South Africa. She also studied Classical Greek Dancing with Jean Beckley and completed her teacher's exams in both Ballet and Classical Greek. After graduating from high school, she attended the Johannesburg College of Education for four years, and graduated as an elementary school teacher. While studying in college, she taught ballet at the Yvonne Atkins Academy. Linda moved to Dallas with her family in 1977. In 1986, she went back to teaching ballet. She joined Dallas Dance Academy (now Texas Ballet Theater School, Dallas Campus) in 1992 where she has been teaching the younger students. She loves working with them and has built a large following over the past twenty years.
