Nicole Buyskes

Instructor

Nicole Buyskes trained at Dallas Metropolitan Ballet.  At age 16, she joined Hartford Ballet and danced for 7 years in various roles in ballets by George Balanchine, Choo San Goh, Jean Grande Maitre, Graham Lustig, Anthony Tudor and the company’s artistic director, Kirk Peterson.  She then spent a year studying in London at the Benesh Institute where she became certified as a Benesh notator.  She returned to Texas and joined Texas Ballet Theater dancing in Ben Stevenson’s ballets, Cinderella, Peer Gynt, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker until her retirement from the stage in 2006.  Ms. Buyskes has also performed in several musical theater productions including West Side Story, Oklahoma, Huckleberry Finn and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.   Since her retirement, Ms. Buyskes has traveled around the country staging Kirk Peterson’s ballets on various companies. She continues to stage and direct ballets, perform in musicals, and teach.
