TBT's New Logo Design
(Dallas / Fort Worth, TX – October 2009)…Artistic Director Ben Stevenson O.B.E. announced today that Texas Ballet Theater has a new logo that reflects the ballet company’s forward look for the upcoming season of milestones and memorable performances that make this one of the most important years in the company’s history.
The design, a series of flowing lines creating the image of a dancer in motion, represents a fresh look that matches this new chapter in the company’s history. Texas Ballet Theater now performs in the two premiere venues in North Texas - the AT&T Performing Arts Center Margot & Bill Winspear Opera House in Dallas and the Nancy Lee & Perry R. Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth.
“We wanted to create a new look that is both stylish and sophisticated,” said Margo McCann, Managing Director of Texas Ballet Theater. “The logo is a celebration of all that we have achieved and the exciting season ahead.”
Texas Ballet Theater’s 2009 – 2010 Season includes: The Nutcracker, November 27 – December 6 in Dallas and December 11 – 24 in Fort Worth; Romeo and Juliet, February 12 – 14 in Fort Worth and March 12 – 14 in Dallas; and The Sleeping Beauty, April 9 – 11 in Fort Worth and June 11 – 13 in Dallas.
Adding to the excitement of the season will be a celebration on Friday, November 27 of a career milestone for Texas Ballet Theater’s nationally-recognized Artistic Director Ben Stevenson O.B.E. This season marks his 40th Anniversary as one of the most influential figures in American ballet. Mr. Stevenson joined Texas Ballet Theater in 2003 after serving more than a quarter century as Artistic Director of the Houston Ballet, which he developed into one of America’s leading ballet companies.
