Title of the position:  Patron Service Associate

Texas Ballet Theater is looking for a positive, upbeat individual to fill a sales position. This position will spend most time(90%) on the phone soliciting for ticket sales, as well as general office duties. Some inbound sales and work at venue box offices may be required, all while providing excellent customer service and integrity of patron data. The position is part-time with flexible hours. 


Key areas of responsibility (including but not limited to)

• Use leads to contact patrons to sell TBT performances and subscriptions
• Maintain a positive, upbeat and professional demeanor
• Support the day to day ticketing and sales operations of the Box Office
• Communicate effectively and maintain high standards of customer service during all patron interactions
• Stay informed of ballet events and “upsell” as appropriate
• Respond to inquiries regarding event seating, ticketing, parking, and general concerns
• Reserve seats, process payments; print and distribute tickets using Tessitura ticketing software
• Enter new patron information into the database following policies and procedures agreed upon by Texas Ballet Theater and update existing patron information as
  necessary
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as required 

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills required- must be personable and cheerful
• Demonstrated work experience in customer service or sales
• Interest in and appreciation of the performing arts, especially dance, strongly desired
• Ability to move through strict computer processes quickly and efficiently, while talking with customers required
• Basic computer skills including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience with POS system a plus
• Prior experience in ticketing or the box office environment preferred; Experience with CRM software a plus

Texas Ballet Theater is looking for well-qualified Ballet Instructors for their City Dance Outreach Program.  This position requires experience teaching elementary age children as well as an ability to adapt to a diverse classroom environment.
