Originally from San Diego, California, Jennifer Huerta began her dance training at Scripps Performing Arts Academy and City Ballet of San Diego. She was then offered a full scholarship to attend Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy, where she completed her training and performed with Houston Ballet II. Jennifer is now enjoying her ninth season with Texas Ballet Theater. Mrs. Huerta has enjoyed performing many of Ben Stevenson's ballets. Her favorite roles include “Sugar Plum Fairy” and “Arabian” in The Nutcracker, “Carabosse” and “White Cat” in The Sleeping Beauty, “Spring Fairy” and “Fairy Godmother” in Cinderella, “Pas de Trois” in Dracula, "Harlot" in Romeo & Juliet, "Kitri's Friend" in Don Quixote and "Ingrid" in Peer Gynt. She has also performed in Balanchine's Theme and Variations, “Four Russian Girls” in Serenade, Glen Tetley's Voluntaries and “Yolanda” in Val Caniparoli's Lambarena. Jennifer would like to thank her parents and husband for their overwhelming love and support over the years.
