This is Brett's second season with Texas Ballet Theater and his first season as a Corp de Ballet member. He was born in Houston, TX, where his early training included the Houston Ballet Academy and The High School for Performing and Visual Arts. Brett studied ballet at the University of Oklahoma School of Dance where he received a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree. He danced roles such as "The Stranger" in OU's School of Dance and Music's collaboration for Carmina Burana, as well as the lead solider for Ben Stevenson's Camouflage. As a trainee with Texas Ballet Theater, Brett performed in the "Pas de Trios" in Glen Tetley's Voluntaries, as well as lead roles in Val Caniparoli's Lambarena and Ben Stevenson's Mozart Requiem.
