Angela Kenny is originally from Aubrey, Texas. She has attended ballet schools at Texas Ballet Theater School Dallas, Tuzer Dancercenter, JKO School of American Ballet Theatre in NY, and the Royal Ballet Upper School in London, on full scholarship. During her time with the Royal Ballet School she was asked to perform for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and other British dignitaries. She has also received the Ursula Moreton and the Lynn Seymour awards for her choreography work. In 2004 she won the Youth Grand Prix at the Youth America Grand Prix Semifinals and went on to win the silver medal at the NYC Finals. In 2007, she was a NFAA Young ARTS Winner. While with TBT, her favorite roles to dance have been "Anitra" and "Mad Woman" from Ben Stevenson's Peer Gynt, “Bluebird” in The Sleeping Beauty, and "Snow Queen" and “Arabian” in Ben Stevenson's The Nutcracker. She has also enjoyed performing in Val Caniparoli's Lambarena, Glen Tetley's Voluntaries and George Balanchine's Theme and Variations. This is Angela’s sixth season with Texas Ballet Theater.
