Audience Etiquette

Dress Nicely
When attending the performance it is important to dress appropriately.  Some audience members like to dress up and make their visit to the theater a special occasion.

Silence is Golden
Be attentive and silent during the performance.  The hum of voices can be distracting to performers, as well as to others in the audience.

Remain Seated
Stay in your seats at all times and refrain from standing or kneeling in your seats during the performance.

Follow Directions
Enter and exit the theater in an orderly manner.  Pay attention to the ushers and follow directions to easily locate your seat.

Respond Appropriately
When the performance has ended, and the dancers are taking their bows, it is appropriate to clap until the curtain closes.  Audience members clap to show their respect for the artists’ hard work.
