Ilan Nunez

Instructor - PACE TEAMS, Jazz & Lyrical

Ilan Nunez was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and raised on Ambergris Caye, Belize. Ilan attended North East School of the Arts (NESA) and graduated from St. Anthony's High School, in San Antonio, where he received the athletic scholarship for Dance. He then attended Point Park University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as a dance major with a focus in Jazz. While there he was part of the Pittsburgh Play House Dance Company. Ilan trained/s with Esther Mayer, Ernesto Quenedit, Kiesha Lalama-White, Jay Kirk, Lindy Madrajeff, Dena Mabry and Peter Merz.(etc.) Ilan attends classes at The Edge Performing Arts Center, Millennium, Broadway Dance Center as well as various dance work shops, conventions, master classes and summer/winter programs. He has performed in Doug Bentz's "Snow Queen", "The Nutcracker", "Beauty and the Beast","A Chorus Line","Fiesta Noche Del Rio", "Costa Maya Festival" (Belize Ca.) and was featured in pieces choreographed by Ron Tassone, David Story, Ronda McClure, Jennifer Baldwin and much more. An award-winning choreographer himself, he worked with Patsy Torres on her "Positive Force Tour", Alamo City Dance Co. , Co.Motion, Insight Dance Ensemble, Texas Ballet Theater (PACE) and Beyond Belief Dance Company! Ilan danced with San Antonio Jazz Ensemble (S.A.J.E.) and has had guest appearances with companies Human Beauty and Proyectos En Movimiento. This summer, Ilan was featured in the Mary Kay 2012 seminar "Dear To Dream" and seen on FOX's So You Think You Can Dance. Ilan continues to teach, choreograph, preform, and train all over the United States and abroad.
