The Fort Worth School is a training ground for talented dancers to potentially join the Company of Texas Ballet Theater as a trainee or apprentice.  We offer a complete and comprehensive training program for the pre-professional dancer.  Select students are invited by the Artistic Director, Artistic Staff and School Principal to train with the Company during the day and with the school in the evening. 

Trainees are selected based on their potential to be offered a contract with Texas Ballet Theater or another top tier professional company.  Trainees are expected to serve as an example to our younger students and are required to adhere to strict training and personal standards. Those wishing to be considered for a trainee position must attend a company audition in the spring and / or the five week Summer Intensive program.

Trainees perform with the company in some performances throughout the season.  They work with the company on a daily basis in addition to working with the school in the evenings.  The trainees occasionally perform at other venues around the metroplex dancing pieces specially choreographed for them.
